Supervision of PhD Candidates

While the candidate’s main or principal supervisor shall be a Monash academic staff member, where possible a supervisor may also be appointed from the candidate’s Chinese home university. Such an arrangement is intended to support long-term research collaboration between Monash University and Chinese universities.

Monash has an internationally recognised process for the training and accreditation of postgraduate research supervisors. The university also has a Code of Practice for supervision of doctoral and masters candidates
