9.3 Postgraduate grants

9.3.1 Postgraduate Publications Award

The Postgraduate Publications Award provides support for candidates who, having submitted their thesis, wish to write up some of their research for publication while they await the result of their examination. Stipend support, equivalent to the Australian Postgraduate Award rate, is available for a period of up to three months.

9.3.2 Postgraduate Travel Grant

The Postgraduate Travel Grant meets the airfares for postgraduate research candidates who are travelling interstate or overseas in order to present papers at a conference, collect data or undertake other activities relevant to their research. An equity travel grant program also assists candidates whose personal circumstances might otherwise prevent them from undertaking a period of study away as an integral part of their research program.
