    Professor King will offer an overview of the generous scholarships, numerous grants and the first-rate facilities available to postgraduate research students.
    2.10pm Ezgi Ozturk
    PhD candidate
    Faculty of of Medicine and Health Sciences
    Ezgi is currently enrolled in a PhD with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and will be talking about the current research on Multiple Sclerosis at Monash as well as the facilities available for the science field.

    2.20pm Olivia Mah
    PhD candidate
    Faculty of Science
    As a PhD candidate from the School of Mathematical Sciences, Olivia is conducting research in financial mathematics, investigating the types of stock price models that are compatible with the widely-used Black-Scholes Formula.

    Olivia will talk about how postgraduate students can benefit from the many facilities and resources provided by the Monash Research Graduate Center.

    2.30pm HanLin Shang
    PhD candidate
    Faculty of Business and Economics
    Han is working on functional time series forecasting methods to predict an infinite-dimensional time-continuous stochastic process, for his PhD in the Department of Econometrics & Business Statistics.

    Han will share his experiences of the first year of candidature.

    2.40pm Rachmad Hidayat
    Masters (Research)
    Faculty of Arts
    Rachmad is in the School of Politics and Social Inquiry and his research explores the link between manhood ideals among Muslim men and domestic violence in Indonesia. The main interest in this research is how Indonesian Muslim males understand Islamic teaching as part of their manhood ideals and how these are relevant to the idea of violence against wives in Muslim families in Indonesia.

    Rachmad will talk about the many seminars and workshops available for research students to attend.

    Professor King will conclude the seminar and invite attendees to join the speakers for light refreshments in the foyer.

    3.00pm Refreshments Attendees will have the opportunity to talk with presenters and members of the MRGS staff.
