Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarship - IPRS

Approximately 300 scholarships, funded by the Australian Government, are available Australia-wide under this program each year for international students, except New Zealand students. Approximately 20 awards are offered each year at Monash.

Preference is given to students from the regions identified as priorities under the Australian Government's Endeavour Program.

Please note that this scholarship will pay tuition fees, amenities fees and the Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). It does not provide an allowance for living expenses. However, it may be awarded in conjunction with a stipend scholarship that provides a living allowance.

To be eligible for an IPRS, applicants must:
  • have completed at least four years of tertiary education study;
  • have obtained First Class Honuors, or equivalent results;
  • be undertaking a research masters, PhD or professional doctorate; and
  • be proposing to undertake full-time studies.
Applicants are ineligible for an IPRS if they:
  • are Australian citizens, permanent residents or New Zealand citizens;
  • hold a PhD or professional doctorate;
  • intend to undertake a second research masters degree;
  • are enrolled or are intending to enrol as a research candidate under Monash's external mode regulations; and
  • commenced their studies in the previous year and had prior opportunity to apply for an Endeavour IPRS in that year.
